Antique Chinese Cabinet
$2,800.00Price
Chinese red‑lacquer cabinet, 19th‑century Shanxi wedding chest. The distressed red finish, iron hardware, and hand‑painted gold flowers are hallmarks of Qing‑dynasty provincial furniture—red stood for luck, joy, and fertility, so these cabinets were often made for marriages. They were built with simple joinery, two doors opening to a single shelf, and the floral motifs (often peonies or chrysanthemums) were painted freehand and highlighted in gold. Beautifully aged with bold color, sturdy construction, and so much history. Guaranteed to be the star and topic of conversation in any room.
Measurements are 42.5” wide, 22.25” deep, 41” tall.
