Pair of Vintage Thonet Bentwood Bar Stools/Armchairs – Original Labels & Patina

Exceptional pair of authentic vintage Thonet bentwood bar-height armchairs, featuring beautifully curved bentwood construction, sculpted wraparound arms, solid wood seats, and integrated wooden footrests.

These stools retain their wonderful original dark reddish-brown finish with extensive age-appropriate wear and patina, giving them the character and warmth that collectors look for in original Thonet furniture. Graceful bentwood supports sweep from the seat into the arms and back, creating the distinctive sculptural silhouette for which Thonet furniture is known.

Both stools retain numbered brass inventory plaques, HTN 78 and HTN 79, indicating that they were likely originally used as part of a commercial or institutional furnishing. One stool also retains an original Thonet paper manufacturer’s label beneath the seat.

The stools show scratches, finish loss, rubbing and other signs of decades of use. These imperfections have been intentionally left untouched to preserve their authentic vintage character. Please review photos carefully for condition.
